Friends-sick
It’s good to be back and the Barker’s. All our stuff is here.
this saturday, it’s our reception for those who couldn’t come to our wedding.
So I’m working on this slideshow, with pictures when I was young ect.
And I’m also gonna do one with our wedding pictures, I’ll bring the album, ect.
And since I’m playing with photos for 2 days, I kind of become friends-sick.
You know, I miss them. And my family too. not enough that I’m always thinking
of them, or that I want to go back, or even call them (I am not a caller!).
But still, I miss their personality, their humor, the fun we have when we’re
together, the songs, card games, movie nights, sleep over, playing with my nevews,
eating, praising, watching old pictures and videos of us.
We’re making new friends here. We had a dinner with 2 young couples, and we’ll
have another one thursday with the same couples, but in a different home….
And with different food…
Anyways, nostalgia is kind of a good feeling for me.
It means that we stay friends even if we’re not there.

I COULD’VE PUT SO MUCH MORE IN THERE!

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…..i agree with your nostaligia thing
I miss you too (snif, snif). Have a great birthday.
Love Dad
Merci Papa!
When I left Saskatchewan I had a hard time understanding why I chose to leave behind so many blessings. It didn’t make much sense to me, but I knew I had to follow Jesus. It is hard, up to this day when I think of my time in Hepburn, the friendships, good times and the life I had there. Friendships have grown, but in a different way.
I hope you keep this healthy nostalgia, and remember your today and the people around you… that you will probably miss next year.
