For Sharp Stones

Rolling river God,
little stones are smoothe,
only once the water passes through

So I am a stone rough and grainy still,
trying to reconcile this river’s chill

But when I close my eyes,
and feel you rushing by,
I know that time brings change,
and change takes time

But when the sunset comes,
my prayer would be just one

That You might pick me up and notice that I am,
just a little smoother in your hand

Sometimes raging wild,
sometimes swollen high,
but never have I known this river dry

The deepest part of You is where I long to stay,
to feel the sharpest edges wash away

But when I close my eyes and feel You rushing by
I know that time brings change and change takes time
But when the sunset comes
My prayer would be just one
That You might pick me up and notice that I am,
just a little smoother in your hands

Rolling river God,
little stones are smoothe,
only once the water passes through.

  8. The other day at work I hadn’t much to eat and I decided to spend a dollar on a chocolate bar. I got mixed up with the letters I had to punch and ended up with an… after 8. I was not happy about that but I still ate it. Result: I did not like it. I don’t like mint and chocolate, it is a waste of chocolate.
