Busy week again, I need to take more time blogging.
2 weekends ago we had the Big Youth Thing. It’s our annual youth conference at the Church. It was pretty cool, lots of unbelievers from town came. The Word of God was preached.
We started our prenatal class last week. Dustin kept telling me that it was because of me that he was going. The first class was talking about the basic stuff and essentials (boring) But the last have been pretty good, for both of us. Saturday we watched couple of videos of labor and delivery… (the part that I was not exited to see) But it actually helped me alot to see that it’s not the end of the world, and that there are ways of staying concentrated, welcoming the pain not fighting it. Now I’m even to the point of looking forward for my contractions to start at home.
We practiced couple of position and breathing, but not too much. The class is given by a mid-wife who did tons of delivery and she knows what she’s talking about.
We are 5 couples taking the class (when everybody’s there) and we’re all du in January! I share the first position with another women that is du on the same date! The race is ON!
There are now 7-8 weeks left! I still feel good. just more tired these days. Oh and we don’t have any names yet. I’m open to suggestions, but don’t be offended if we don’t choose yours. So we’re looking for both gendre, in french, not 2 names in one (like: Marie-Josée), and that doesn’t end with the letter A.
My lovely sister Marianne booked her tickets to come and see me for 2 weeks at the end of January. I’m really exited for her to come, bringing her daughter Éloïse with her. It’s going to be great to have someone to help and hangout with. Especially someone from Québec! ![]()
And I would call this a God-story:
She found tickets for HALF of what I paid when I came to Quéebec this summer! That’s really great!
So the Winter is coming slowly here. We had a bit of snow last week, but now it’s all gone. The temperature though is quite cold, and windy these days.
Our near-futur projects…
2 prenatal classes this week
Kickin’it with the King Friday night (kids night at church)
Moonlight madness (Friday midnight, most of the stores in town have sales for Christmas shopping)
Face-to-face Saturday night (Worship at church)
Then the weekend after, we(GDS) are (God willing) going to Kelowna (3h from here) for ministry. I hope to go, because I feel good and traveling hasn’t been too painful these weeks.
Then Christmas break starts on the 19th till 6th of January!! (That’s why I say the baby will come pretty fast!)
We don’t plan on going to the coast for the Holydays. Because my du date is too close for that.
Ok I think that’s enough for now. I’m in a coffee place and rush time is coming, and I have to go to the grocery store. See you around ?!?!
