Odd things about life

I was kind of watching tv. You know, when there’s nothing on and you check out every single channel hoping to find something interresting.
So i was doing that and I found a documentary on the making of old movies. It was talking about ‘chainsaw massacre’. I’ve never seen that movie but it was interresting to see how they used to do it and the evolution. Dustin came downstair and watched with me.

The next topic was Arnold Schwarzenegger. (yes I googled his name, to make sure…) Starting with Terminator, just before the commercial they showed a sneek-peek of what was coming and I saw Arnold as CONAN THE DESTROYER!!!

Do you remember that movie? Released in 84, it’s a action-fantastic-action movie following Conan the Barbarian.
I’ve seen that movie when I was really young, and I started to be really exited and telling Dustin that that movie changed my life (ok maybe not) But that I had flash-backs of the movie and it’s so old, ect.
So we decided to rent it. I only remember images of it, not even the story (I guess I was too young) I saw in my head, Him and his HUGE muscles, the monster who was a kind of Rihno, and Conan been hurt.
That’s just odd how our brain works with memories. Only images brought me emotions of exitement, and nostalgia?! I didn’t even remember the story nor the other characters!
When you see something of your childhood it not only bring back images but a feeling, a smell, people! It’s amazing how we work.

Watching the movie was funny. I discovered more things that I knew, like the princess, one of Conan’s partner the wild black lady warrior, the mean queen, Conan’s poses with his sword..ect.
But for the first time I listen to the story. HAHa. It wasn’t that bad considering that it’s been made in 84, but the dialogue was ssoooo poor! and the characters weren’t fully developed.
I don’t regret watching Conan The Destroyer. It was fun to remember more and actually knowing what the whole movie was about.
